If you have already started
- Overseas students who commence the GDML before 5 October 2026 can generally continue with their current provider
- Providers may keep teaching those continuing students until they complete or withdraw
From 5 October 2026, providers cannot enrol new overseas students in the BSB80120 Graduate Diploma of Management (Learning), or start students who have not already begun. Students who commenced before that date can generally continue. Ozreach can help you understand how a cancelled CoE may affect a student visa.
Discuss Your Visa Pathway
The Department of Education has issued student and provider fact sheets on the automatic suspension and cancellation of CRICOS registration for the Graduate Diploma of Management (Learning), also known as BSB80120. The rules sit under the Education Services for Overseas Students Act 2000 (ESOS Act).
The key date for students is 5 October 2026. From that date, CRICOS providers cannot issue new Confirmations of Enrolment for the GDML, enrol new overseas students, or commence overseas students who have not already started. Domestic students can still study the qualification.
If you have a GDML CoE but have not commenced by 5 October 2026, that CoE is cancelled and you cannot start the course. Starting an earlier course in a packaged program does not count as commencing the GDML. Contact your provider promptly about another course or a refund of unused tuition fees, depending on your circumstances.
Changing course can affect a student visa, including course-level conditions. Providers should send visa questions to the Department of Home Affairs or a registered migration agent. Ozreach can help you check how a cancelled CoE or a new enrolment may sit with your visa.
